From my personal perspective, witnessing the transformative journey of TS Skin Clinic (previous The Shore Clinic) redesign was an extraordinary experience. In this case study, I will share the insightful process of how a simple yet strategically executed website redesign dramatically changed the course of a local skin clinic’s entire brand image to target a younger affluent clientele.

TS Skin Clinic has been operating in the Toronto area for the past ten years and has built a solid reputation in its community. However, they’ve been dissatisfied with their existing website for a very long time and have made an attempt to redo their website themselves. After much consideration, the owner decided it’s time to really put in the investment and create a website they can be proud of and help to move their business forward and upward.

Goals

The primary goals of the redesign were clear:

Modernize the Website Design: To create a fresh, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly interface that mirrors the clinic’s sophistication and luxe experience.

Implement their existing online booking system: To streamline the appointment process, making it more efficient for both clients and staff.

Combine two websites they were operating into just one single website.

Reflect and Elevate Their New Brand Identity and Values: To effectively communicate the clinic’s commitment to excellence, trust, and cutting-edge skincare solutions.

Challenges

As with any redesign project, we faced several challenges:

Dealing with a large legacy website with a lot of information and pages: Deciding on which pieces of information are still relevant and which pieces have since been long outdated.

Balancing Aesthetics and Functionality: Ensuring the site was not only beautiful but also navigable and efficient.

Moving all the content from their old website to their newly redesigned Shopify website to continue to leverage Shopify’s superior e-commerce capabilities.

The journey began with extensive auditing of their service website and their Shopify store. I sat down and collaborated with their entire team to understand what made TS Skin Clinic unique and what they felt their new website needed or was lacking. We also analyzed competitors and industry trends.

Website Redesign: We chose a clean, minimalist design with a calming color palette that reflected the serene experience of the clinic. High-quality imagery showcasing the clinic's environment and treatments was integral. The interface was redesigned to be intuitive, with easy navigation and a clear structure.

Content Revamp: We rewrote website content to align with the brand’s voice – expert, welcoming, and professional. We focused on clear, concise, and content that accurately described treatments and expertise.

Creative Direction: we leaned in on a more clean but young, modern, and sophisticated look to resonate with a younger audience in their late 20s to early 30s.

This redesign case study of TS Skin Clinic underscores the importance of aligning a physical business's reputation and quality with its digital presence. It highlights how a thoughtful, well-executed website redesign can significantly impact a business's reach, efficiency, and customer experience. The project was a blend of creativity, strategy, and technical expertise, ultimately leading to a rejuvenated brand image and improved business outcomes.

This journey was a testament to how a digital transformation, when done right, can breathe new life into an established business, opening doors to new opportunities and growth.
